About the website 

This is the website for the UK's National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI). The NAEI is funded by DECC, Defra, The Welsh Government, The Scottish Government and The Department of Environment, Northern Ireland. The NAEI compiles estimates of emissions to the atmosphere from UK sources such as cars, trucks, power stations and industrial plant. These emissions are estimated to help to find ways of reducing the impact of human activities on the environment and our health.

The NAEI helpline phone number appears at the bottom of each page (01235 75 3046), and this is charged at national rate with an out of hours answerphone.
