Emissions of Air Pollutants in the UK 
This is the website for the UKs National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI). The NAEI is funded by Defra, The Welsh Government, The Scottish Government and The Department of Environment, Northern Ireland. The NAEI compiles estimates of emissions to the atmosphere from UK sources such as cars, trucks, power stations and industrial plant. These emissions are estimated to help to find ways of reducing the impact of human activities on the environment and our health.

Release of the LRTAP National Statistics
Now Available....
The United Kingdom have submitted the 2012 submission to the UN
Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (LRTAP) today. The data
include the main air quality pollutants and cover the time series from 1980 to
2010. The data are available on the
EIONET
website now.
Defra have also released their national statistics release covering the
LRTAP submission. The "Emissions of Air Pollutants in the UK, 1970 to 2010 - Supplementary" can be found on the Defra
website now.

Defra publish 2011 NECD Stats Today
Now Available....
The Defra Stats release shows the headline figures and background information
for the four NECD pollutants NOx, SOx, NMVOC and NH3 for 2005-2010. The data
is also available on the
EIONET
website now.

summary emissions data.

Database is now updated with 2009 data. This database contains the
emission factors used to calculate the 2009 UK Emissions Inventory.

2009 Emissions Summary Data
Now Available......
The 2009 emissions summary data are now available for download. The
Data Warehouse of the website will be updated with the 2009 data over the next
couple of weeks. Please note that the data in the file are consistent with
the territories covered under the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air
Pollution.

ONS Environmental Accounts Data
Now Available....
Environmental Accounts present analysis of energy and emissions data,
considering national production and consumption patterns, to reflect economic
accounting boundaries. The Accounts draw upon NAEI emissions data for the UK,
and integrate other data such as cross-boundary transfers of fuel use between
